I'm a 40+ year old father and husband, I've been flying airplanes for 25 years, and I'm certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified personal trainer. I'm also a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and actively coaching in that sport.
My passion for athletics is lifelong. Growing up I was on as many sports teams as possible, including soccer, basketball, track, cross-country, swimming and more. As an adult, I focused more on endurance sports, competing in triathlons, aquathlons, duathlons and ultra distance trail running. Approaching my 40’s, I found strength and conditioning was becoming my true passion. Around that same time, I noticed some of my middle aged peers who “let themselves go a bit” began to ask me questions about health and wellness. It was at this point that I decided to take a year and study for my NSCA-CPT certification so that I could answer their questions with some authority. While I was doing that, I decided to get my CF-L1 to broaden my education. Training others and seeing them improve is one of my favourite things. Whether that’s in person or through remote programming.
I am back flying again, and although I still enjoy it very much, my true passion is training people and seeing them grow. All I want to do is help people unlock the athlete that lives within them.
